How do I care for my hat?

Your hat will last a long time if properly cared for. Some best practices include the occasional "soft brush" to remove dust and debris, picking up your hat by the brim and not the crown, and hanging your hat instead of laying it flat.

How do hat sizes work?

Most women hat sizes are created to be one size fits all. In general, this covers medium to large head sizes. Often times, women hats will have an adjustable inner band to help with fitting and smaller head size. Look for the fitting guide in the description of each Gigi Pip hat to better understand how each hat will fit. What are the hats made of?

Hats are commonly made from a variety of materials. Wool felt hats are commonly found as they imitate fur felts without the high costs of fur. Hats can also be made from materials such as polyester, fur, and mixed polyester/wool. For a better understanding of what each Gigi Pip hat is made from, see the product description. Can wool felt hats get wet?

Do what you can to keep moisture off of your hat. Wet hats often change shape slightly when they dry. For this reason, it is best to hang a hat to dry rather than lay it flat. There are several treatments available for waterproofing your hat.  

Can I return or exchange my hat?

Returns & Exchanges
*SIZING ISSUES: Most Gigi Pip hats have an adjustable inner band. Before returning a hat due to sizing issues, please make sure to adjust the hat for correct fit. If your hat fits front-to-back but not side-to-side (or vise versa), hat-sizing tape might be your best solution. Please visit Hat Sizing 101 for more information.
Please initiate your return or exchange HERE within 30 days of purchase
All returns and exchanges must be submitted through the above portal.

Our goal is to get you into a hat you are happy and confident in! You can exchange through the above portal for a different hat. If you don't know exactly what you want at this moment, you can exchange for store credit which will be given to you as a giftcard. 

We are happy to provide a refund of the purchase price for items returned in brand new, unused and resell-able condition within 30 days of purchase (shipping charges are not eligible for refunds). An $8.00 restocking fee will be subtracted from the refund of returned product. Refunds will be applied to the original payment method. Items must be in new condition in order to be eligible for a refund. Clearance items and gift cards are not eligible for a refund. Any item that is damaged or not in its original condition may not be eligible for a refund. Embroidered products are not eligible for returns or exchanges. 

Please note, Canadian orders are eligible for returns/exchanges but recipient is responsible for all shipping costs. Any other orders outside of the USA are not currently eligible for returns or exchanges. 
Please double check the following to ensure you get your full refund:
- Hat is in new, resell-able condition (no makeup, wear marks, etc)
- All original tags are included
- Original packaging is used for the return
- Return is shipped within 30 days of the delivery date
In-Store Return & Exchange Policy
Purchases made in-store are only eligible for exchange. We are happy to exchange the item for another item of equal price if the item is returned in brand new, unused, and resell-able condition within 30 days of purchase. 

Do you ship internationally?

We are happy to ship to many countries across the globe. Please take note that import taxes, duties, and related customs fees may be charged once the package arrives at the destination country and is out of the control of Gigi Pip. Payment for these fees is the responsibility of the purchaser. Please check with your local customs agency for costs associated with shipping goods into your country.

Please note: Gigi Pip can only guarantee delivery in the US and Canada, all customers purchasing from outside of the US and Canada will be provided proof of shipment and will then be directed to USPS to ensure they receive their delivery. We encourage all customers outside of the US and Canada to become familiar with USPS international shipments policies before placing their order. USPS international shipping info can be found at: https://pe.usps.com/text/imm/welcome.htm.

What advice do you have for someone wanting to start a business?

We get asked a lot about advice when starting a new business venture. No question - - - IT IS HARD!! There are so many hours behind the scenes, that at the beginning can feel monotonous, long + overwhelming. But our best advice would be to write down three seemingly impossible goals and work towards them. Surround yourself with people that keep you going, even when you want to quit. YOU GOT THIS! How do you hang your hats?

We find the best and most practical way to display and hang your Gigi Pip hat collection is with the help of Commandhooks. Slap those babies on your wall of choice. Brownie points from your landlord for not putting holes in the wall am I right? If you're really confident about where you want your Gigi Pip hats to call home, a more permanent option for hanging includes a small, simple nail. Easy as pie. How do I fix misshapen hats?

There are multiple ways you can steam out the scrunch, the crunch or anything in between including using an industrial steamer, a handheld steamer you can get fromTarget orWalmart, boiling a pot of water at home or even throwing it in the bathroom to steam while you shower.
