ABOUT THE EVENT

Gigi Pip celebrated the opening of a new school in Park City with a hat-making experience at Montage Deer Valley. The gathering brought together 65 new and returning families for an afternoon of connection. As families settled into their new community, our Hattenders gave them a reason to slow down and get to know each other.

The setting made for a fitting backdrop. Parents and children explored felt colors, brim shapes, and trims side by side, comparing choices and offering opinions as they built their hats and which color looked best. Strangers became fast friends over shared trim choices, and a few returning Gigi Pip customers reunited with familiar faces.

Watching a room full of new families lean into something playful and creative was a reminder of how a shared activity can open doors that small talk alone cannot. Some guests were meeting their child's future classmates for the first time. Others were reconnecting with the brand after falling in love with their first custom hat years earlier. Either way, the hat-making station gave everyone a shared project to focus on, and the conversations followed naturally.

Our Hattenders managed the flow of 65 guests with ease, moving families through selections at a comfortable pace so no one felt rushed or left waiting. From setup to the last finished hat, our team handled every detail, giving the school's event organizers one less thing on their plate.
