Gigi Pip joined Eventwright's leadership team retreat at the Ritz Carlton in Half Moon Bay, California—and our Hattenders brought a fresh kind of energy to the coastline. Over the course of the retreat, our team helped outfit 100 attendees with custom felt hats, giving each guest something to take home besides notes and business cards.
The setup gave the people a reason to step away from the agenda and enjoy something unexpected. Guests worked one-on-one with our Hattenders, choosing colors, brim styles, and personal touches that matched their taste. For some, this was their first custom hat experience, and watching that moment of discovery never gets old. Leaders who came in focused on networking left with a keepsake that sparked conversation for the rest of the retreat.
Beyond the hats, the experience gave attendees a natural way to connect. Waiting in line and comparing choices became an easy icebreaker. Helping colleagues from different teams strike up conversations they might not have had otherwise. Our Hattenders also shared the story behind the craftsmanship, giving guests a deeper appreciation for what goes into every piece.
