"No one person is born hating another because of the color of his skin, his background or his religion. People learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite."
- Nelson Mandela

With respect to the tragic events happening in our world, our team is devoted to our mission. We appreciate the many messages of encouragement, contest, positive suggestions of how we can be more inclusive in our brand — even the not-so-positive suggestions of how we can do our part.

Gigi Pip's mission is confidence. We believe every woman deserves the right to feel beautiful and confident, regardless of the color of their skin. Nothing challenges confidence more than feelings of judgment, prejudice and hate.

It's easy for us to say during the heat of the moment that we're ready to make a change, but it's not enough. It's when the emotions of the moment are gone that true character shines through. We're committing to practical and sustainable changes that produce real and ongoing results.

We surely don't have all the answers, but we need to start somewhere.

Over a year ago we challenged our team to add more diversity into our model castings, our social campaigns, and our #thehatswewear series. We've built some incredible relationships because of it.

Can we do better? Of course.

It sounds simple, but being rooted in Salt Lake City, UT, a commitment to greater representation of racial diversity is a bit easier said than done. But this is important. We have challenged our creative teams to once again re-up this commitment and reach even further. We're excited to link arms and blend more colors of diversity into the representation of Gigi Pip. Let's celebrate the many hats that women wear in our efforts to break down differences and build up confidence.

We invite you to take this challenge with us. Share your incredible stories and the stories of the women you know. Lift each other up. Confidence is contagious and so is love.

"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about the things that matter."
- Martin Luther King Jr.
